Chris Dunning

Client Concierge

Overview And Experience

Perhaps all you need to know about Chris Dunning—and certainly his immense patience—is this: he once sat six feet away from an alligator for hours just to get the perfect picture. Which he got without further interaction with said alligator.

That same patience, persistence, and focus define how Chris approaches his work at Indigo Family Law. As our Client Concierge, he knows that family law isn’t just about legal filings and court dates—it’s about people, often facing the most difficult moments of their lives, searching for answers and a way forward. Chris makes sure they find both.

Before joining Indigo, Chris spent nearly two decades at the Horry County Clerk of Court’s office, gaining an in-depth understanding of the family court system from the inside out. He was the go-to person attorneys called when they needed help navigating procedures, scheduling hearings, or simply understanding what was happening behind the scenes. That experience made his transition to Indigo seamless—he already knew Brana and Ryan from his time at the courthouse, and when the opportunity came to be part of the team, it was an easy decision.

“The reputation of Indigo Family Law was so strong that I knew I would fit in well,” Chris says. “I have a genuine desire to help people, and here, that’s exactly what we do.”

For Chris, results matter—but so does the patience to get there. Whether he’s guiding a client through the legal process, making sure they feel heard, or ensuring that every detail is handled with care, he brings the same steady, determined approach he applies to his photography.

When he’s not helping clients, Chris is exploring the outdoors with his wife and three children, camera always in hand, waiting for the next perfect shot. Because, as he often reminds himself, “Sometimes, we’re tested not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strength.”
